Support for keeping pets healthy & at home
At Companion Animal Alliance, we know that access to veterinary care and basic pet resources can make all the difference in keeping pets with the families who love them.
Through our Access to Care programs, CAA provides resources designed to reduce barriers to pet ownership and help East Baton Rouge Parish families care for their pets. Explore available services below to find the support you need.
Spay/Neuter Assistance
Spaying and neutering pets is one of the most effective ways to support a healthy community and prevent pet overpopulation.
CAA offers access to affordable spay and neuter resources for owned pets and community cats. These services help families provide essential preventive care while reducing the number of unwanted litters entering our shelter system.
Crisis Support
CAA’s Safety Net Program offers up to 90 days of temporary housing for owners experiencing housing instability during times of crisis. These situations may include domestic violence, entering substance abuse treatment, hospitalization for physical or mental health needs, eviction, or challenges finding pet-friendly housing.
Pet Food Pantry
Every family deserves the opportunity to keep their pets healthy and cared for. CAA’s Pet Food Pantry helps provide supplemental pet food assistance to community members experiencing temporary challenges accessing food for their pets.
By providing support, we help prevent families from having to make difficult decisions and keep pets where they belong, at home with the people who love them.
