Open Adoption:
One of our pillars is the open-adoption model. We believe that everyone deserves the love and companionship that come with having a pet, and we actively work to remove barriers to adoption.
Our adoption process is relatively simple:
Visit our shelter to see the available pets available for adoption.
Interact with the animal you are interested in adopting.
Cats are brought into an interaction room
Dogs are brought out on-leash
Complete adoption paperwork. This includes…
Reading & signing our adoption contract and any applicable waivers
Providing a copy of your ID (MUST be 18+)
Paying the applicable adoption fee
We accept all major credit cards and cash payments ONLY. (We do NOT accept checks, Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp)
Leave with your new pet!
*Animals that are not “adoption-ready,” meaning they are not spayed/neutered, microchipped YET, may be available for pre-adoption.
Please note: All dogs MUST leave wearing a collar and leash, and all cats and other small pets MUST leave in a secure pet carrier.
Cat carriers are available for purchase for $12.

Discounted adoption specials & promotions
Discounted adoption specials typically ONLY apply to our “adoption-ready” pets. Animals that are still on their holding period or have not been spayed/neutered YET are not available for discounted specials unless otherwise communicated.
Our adoption discounts include:
$10 Tuesday, every Tuesday (open at 10:00 am)
50% off Senior for Senior
Waived fees for military service members
Limited to 2 adoption fees; must provide proof of service
CAA regularly hosts adoption specials & promotions throughout the year. Follow our social media to see any upcoming adoption specials.
