Commuinty Events

Thank you for your interest in partnering with Companion Animal Alliance. Community support plays a vital role in helping us care for the thousands of animals who come through our shelter each year, and we're grateful for individuals, businesses, and organizations that want to make a difference.

We offer two types of community partnerships:

  • Adoption Events – Public events where adoptable pets are available to meet potential adopters.

  • Fundraising Events – Events benefiting Companion Animal Alliance through donations or proceeds.

If you are interested in hosting a fundraising event that includes shelter animals for guest interaction, please note that a minimum $500 donation is required. As a nonprofit organization with limited staff and resources, this helps offset the cost of transporting animals and staffing the event.

If your goal is to help pets find homes, you may instead consider hosting an adoption event. These events are open to the public and promoted through Companion Animal Alliance's marketing channels whenever possible.

Adoption Events

Businesses, organizations, and community groups interested in hosting an adoption event are encouraged to submit an inquiry.

When evaluating adoption event requests, we consider:

  • Location and accessibility

  • Expected attendance

  • Space and safety for animals

  • Staff and volunteer availability

  • Event alignment with our mission and goals

While we'd love to participate in every event, our ability to attend depends on shelter operations, animal welfare considerations, and available resources.

Fundraising Events

Interested in hosting a fundraiser to benefit Companion Animal Alliance? Whether it's a restaurant give-back night, workplace fundraiser, community event, or other creative idea, we appreciate your support.

Our team can provide:

  • Approval to use our name and logo

  • Brand guidelines and promotional materials

  • Information about our mission and impact

  • Promotion through our communication channels, when possible

Event organizers are responsible for planning, staffing, expenses, permits, and event operations. We ask that fundraising inquiries be submitted at least 30 days before the event.
