As the only open intake shelter for East Baton Rouge Parish, Companion Animal Alliance is responsible for the care of all sick or injured strays. Donations to our Sick & Injured fund are used exclusively for covering the additional costs associated with emergency veterinary care, lifesaving medical intervention, and other complex medical cases.

Donations cannot be directed toward a specific animal’s medical care. This is a restricted fund for which donations will only be used to cover the cost of care for sick and/or injured strays. CAA’s spending of Sick & Injured donations is discretionary.
