Mousers

When Companion Animal Alliance receives rather feisty felines, we like to consider non-traditional adoption placement. CAA believes these undersocialized cats may live happier lives outside. Though they may not be your typical “house cat,” mousers are still well cared for by their adopters.

These cats are sterilized, vaccinated, and in need of alternative housing such as a barn, warehouse, shed, shop, etc. Mousers are typically not suitable to be indoor pets. As undersocialized animals, they have little to no desire to be “lap cats.” These are working cats. They are usually former “street cats” who are used to outdoor life. They prefer minimal to no human contact and will happily tend to your mouse, mole, rat, or other vermin problems in exchange for food, water, and outside shelter. All mousers are already spayed/neutered prior to adoption, so there is no concern about the possibility of reproduction and overpopulation wherever they are going.

Mousers are available upon request!
